Hatteras By The Sea
Hatteras by the Sea is a private oceanfront community located in Hatteras Village. The community offers uniquely spacious lots which are bordered by pristine marshes to the west and beach to the east. The subdivision, originally intended as a retirement community, is a mix of permanent residences with a majority of seasonally rented custom homes. Prices exceed over two million dollars. There are 40 homes within the subdivision with vacant lots remaining. Most owners are non-resident, coming from all parts of the country, lured by open, unspoiled beaches, vast Pamlico Sound views and the nearby Gulf Stream. Those used as rental properties are of the high end quality with weekly rates up to over $15,000 per week in the peak of summer. The Hatteras by the Sea Homeowners Association contracts provide continuous property management, common landscaping, security and compliance to covenant issues.
